This panel will discuss our moral obligations as university professors at Memorial. While we are required to be educators by our contracts, what does this mean? Are we morally obliged to carry out Memorial’s vision to advance knowledge for the greater good of society? Must we be good teachers? Must we be great teachers? What are we morally obliged to do inside and outside our classroom? This panel of educators from units across Memorial will deliberate, debate, and reflect on these and similar questions.
